The holidays are coming to a close, but there’s still time to squeeze in a little imbibing! We asked some of the top Professionals on Qwick to share a great holiday cocktail (or two.) We wrote about a Holiday Mule from San Diego Professional, Sarita Buer, earlier this month, and now we’ve got a favorite cocktail from New York Professional, Chance Churchill: the Spiced Winter Avion.
I’ve never been a fan of tequila cocktails, but I enjoyed it because it was the first cocktail that combined that light smokiness of tequila with the sweet hearty nostalgia of the holiday season. But it’s also not too sweet. It’s delicious. — Chance
Chance says that he fell into bartending somewhat by, well, chance. He was looking for a job while he was in school and found a good fit as a barback at a new Chinese restaurant. Before long, they asked him to try his hand at bartending. He decided to dive in and honed his skills through the years, eventually moving to bars and clubs.
It has been quite an interesting journey, and I’m thankful for that one Chinese restaurant for opening a door to something I would have never ventured into. — Chance
Chance has been bartending for about two years now and joined the Qwick platform in September. And this time of year, he says that the Spiced Winter Avion is one of his favorite festive cocktails to whip up. Just follow the recipe below, and it’s sure to spice up your next party!
Spiced Winter Avion
2 oz Avion Tequila
.75oz Apple Juice
.75oz Lemon Juice
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice, and garnish with two cinnamon sticks and an apple slice.
